Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 9:14AM I never did mention how disappointed I was with Uncharted 3. Uncharted 1 and 2 are some of the best games on the PS3, but 3 felt weak and lacked any new ideas. There were plot points never fully realized, some really bad level designs, and they practically just retold the same love story from 2. I didn't play the multiplayer, but I assume it's still fun like it was in 2. Although stumbling a little bit on Uncharted 3, Naughty Dog's next game is looking really really interesting.
The last of us is the story of two characters living through post-apocalyptic America. It looks like it starts in Pittsburgh, but most of the story is hush hush right now. But it seems you can think The Road mixed with an infection for zombie-like things (not shown in the above). Yes, a lot about the game is unknown right now, but Naughty Dog certainly has an interesting idea on it's hand. It's at least very pretty, not that they've ever made a game that wasn't pretty.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:09AM So Diablo 3 came out yesterday, and Gods damnit I don't have money to get it. Really jealous of everyone at the midnight launches. It certainly has some good reviews going for it.
I've been playing Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap lately, and damn is that ever a fine Zelda game. I have the original cartridge, but could never get into it. Now, thanks to the Ambasador's games, I'm enjoying it onmy 3DS. It has some excellent dialogue, weapons/items, and dungeons you would expect from a Zelda game. It's twist this time around come in the form of tiny little creatures call Minish. You shrink down to ant-size and this opens the world a bit. The other addition are Kinstones, little medalions you link with NPC's in the world to make "good things happen." Examples include treasures, and monsters that drop a lot of gold, there are also some unique really interesting ones. The game is damn fine, and easily ranks amongst the best in the Zelda franchise.

Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:32AM I mentioned before I had bought a few games from Rogers Plus (RIP). Last we spoke I talked about Singularity, and how great it was. Next up is Fable 2.
The Fable series had always been on my list of games I wanted to play but never had an Xbox. Well that time ends now! I'll get to the first one another time, probably on my laptop, and I heard Fable 3 isn't much of a RPG, so I might not get to it, but Fable 2 is pretty damn good. It's fairly glitchy and the story is whatever, but the combat is swift and fun and it has one of my favourite things in games. Investments. You can buy houses and then rent them out so while you're killing your 1000th Bandit you also made 50 bucks. There seems to be "a lot" to the game, and you're given a lot of choice, but many things don't have any reason. Combat is so easy and death isn't a huge deal that you don't really need money for new equipment. You can wear clothes and affect how people feel about you and give you gifts that don't really don't do much. You can get married (multiple times), and have kids who just eat away at your money. You're given hundreds of options but nothing is necessary...just like real life I guess. Congratulations Peter, you did it.
The point is, Fable 2 has a lot to offer, only some of it will be pointless to you. I have no need get deck my character with tattoos, but as I speak my rent keeps coming in. I technically got it for $3.33, but it's easily worth a 30 dollar purchase, although I think if I bought this for full prce I would be a tad upset.
